Yin Yang & Platform Converse

My platform converse arrived today and I am in love! I wasn't sure at first but they're so comfy and cool and I just lovelovelove them.

I also received my welcome pack for my new job which included a Wispa bar, a customised Unruly Moleskine notebook and an Angry Birds toy! Pretty cool.

On top of this, Las Iguanas opened down the road so we went down for cocktails and food despite my disgusting hungover state, AND I managed to track down each of the new Benefit freebies from Glamour mag which I'm pretty pleased with.

Not a very imaginative outfit since I'm hungover and boring but I had to get the new shoes in there! Mixed reviews from the Kingston locals. Many strange looks, but one man felt compelled to come and talk to me about them whilst I was enjoying a Mojito.

Bralet - Primark

Denim jacket - Charity shop (self-customised)

Check out Adam's cool new desert boots! Definitely jealous.
This weekend should be pretty good fun. Tomorrow evening my friends are having a house party, Sunday I'm off to the Battersea Park jubilee party with my mum and some friends, Monday is the Banquet Records Big Day Out festival followed by Hippodrome after party and Tuesday, I will die.

I'll be sure to blog about all my fun once I've recovered!

This Week's Top Buys #3: Shoe Addict

Tapestry wedges - ASOS; £60
Brothel Creepers - eBay; £23 + P&P
Flatform boots - 'Shoe Rack' Putney; £10
Patent studded flatforms - 'Shoe Rack' Putney; £10

I guess the title explains it all. As I said before, my life has taken a very boring turn with uni work piling up. And what better way to distract myself than with new shoes?

I was moaning a week or so ago that the last pair of heels I bought was in January, which is a bloody long time for me. And now, look! I've been in search of summer heels for a while now, but while I wait patiently for the perfect pair to come along, flatforms will be my thing.

I recently dedicated a post to the patent studded babies on the far right, and from them, and addiction has sprung. Flatforms are the perfect way to give my short ass some height whilst not looking too OTT.

The creepers my Dad bought me arrived this morning and yesterday my boyfriend bought me the boot-style flatforms, probably to shut me up and stop me from dragging him into that horrible shop ever again! I mentioned before about the random shop in Putney that doesn't even have a sign - well these are another of their £10 wonders! (Nothing else is good, unless you like plastic knee-high boots.)

But the best thing in my life at the moment are these tapestry wedges. You'll remember them from my Wednesday Wish List a few weeks ago where I said I'd been spying on them from my Bookmark Bar for months? Well payday came and the boy bought me them and they are BEAUTIFUL!

These should be enough to keep me going for a while. Or so you'd think...

Wednesday Wish List

I'm rapidly losing money on alcohol thanks to the lovely London weather this week, which naturally means that my wish list is piling up in time for summer. The transition from winter/spring into summer leaves me hating my wardrobe every year, and suffering from a massive case of 'over overflowing shelves but nothing to wear' syndrome.

Top of my list is a Carnovsky iPhone skin. I love the colours and the prints and everything about them, and at $15/£9.50(ish) they're not too pricey.

This cute hat from H&M is only £7.99 but causes two dilemmas for me: first is that it's not yet available in stores and I resent paying postage, and second is that I don't know whether to get it in blue or black!
All things baroque! Having just invested in a beautiful baroque print t shirt from River Island and a funky pair of leggings which are yet to arrive, I've gained myself one more style addiction which I can't afford to keep up with!

I feel like I've not bought a new pair of shoes in forever, but these have been sat on my bookmark bar as I wait for them to eventually go into the ASOS sale! £60 isn't even too bad but I'm just so broke, so until I finally come into some money, on my wish list they'll remain!

Acne Atacoma

As shallow and superficial as it sounds, I genuinely believe my life would be better/happier if these were in it.

This is probably because it's a Saturday night and I'm at home watching QIXL reruns and stressing about how busy my life is about to become.
Retail therapy in the form of Acne Atacomas would have a healing affect, if I was in the possession of £400.
The only kind of acne I'd pay for.
